Analyst & Operations Manager · Open to Opportunities

Drew Steinke

Analyst · Builder · Operations

NC State grad currently working as an analyst and operations manager — building data systems and running real client operations across two industries.

About Me

Drew Steinke

Recent NC State grad — B.S. Business Administration, Supply Chain concentration, GPA 3.69. I've worked across SaaS research, construction project coordination, training analytics, and now operations management for a live personal chef business I also built the software for. I'm drawn to roles where there's a real problem to solve and data to work with.

Across industries, same discipline — SaaS, construction, training analytics, and business operations. Different tools and contexts each time, consistent focus on process and outcomes.
Supply chain academic foundation — sourcing, demand planning, spend analysis, and process design. A practical lens for analyst and operations roles.
I build things alongside analyzing them — designed, built, and deployed a production web app that a real business runs on today. I deliver working systems, not just assessments.

How I Work

Data & Analysis

  • Excel (Advanced), Power BI, Tableau
  • Identify trends and track performance against goals
  • Summarize findings clearly for non-technical stakeholders
  • Build reports that support decision-making, not just describe it

Tools & Systems

  • JIRA, Smartsheet
  • Organize workflows so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Coordinate across teams with clear task tracking and timelines

AI & Automation

  • ChatGPT, Claude
  • Use AI to speed up analysis, improve content clarity, and reduce repetitive work
  • Treat AI as a practical tool, not a replacement for judgment

App Development

  • React, TypeScript, Supabase, Tailwind CSS, VS Code
  • Designed and built a full production web app from scratch — currently used by a live client business
  • Handle everything from database schema and auth to UI and deployment
  • Understanding how systems are built makes me a sharper analyst and a stronger collaborator with technical teams

Projects

Malouf Personal Chef
Web App · Client Project · Operations

Malouf Personal Chef Web App

Built and deployed a custom web app for a personal chef business, combining client meal selection, recipe management, grocery planning, scheduling, invoices, and staff workflows into one mobile-friendly system.

  • Designed end-to-end workflows for clients and staff: browse recipes, build requests, manage groceries, and track service status
  • Built role-based tools for owner/admins, head chefs, chefs, clients, and viewers
  • Added operational features including pantry-aware shopping lists, allergy and preference safeguards, scheduling, invoices, and support messaging
  • Deployed a live production app supporting real client operations; also built the public-facing Malouf Personal Chef website for client acquisition and brand presence

Recipe & Grocery Planning App

Built a web app that lets users select recipes and automatically generate a consolidated grocery list — reducing the friction of manual meal planning.

  • Designed the end-to-end user workflow: browse, select, generate list
  • Structured ingredient data to avoid duplicates and group by category
  • Deployed as a live, functioning application — not a prototype

Website Design & Development

Designed and launched multiple websites across different audiences and purposes — a client-facing business site, a public genealogy research archive, and a personal portfolio — each requiring distinct decisions about structure, content, and presentation.

  • Translated stakeholder goals into clear information architecture and navigation
  • Made deliberate layout and readability decisions tailored to each audience
  • Delivered published, live sites — no templates, no hand-offs, fully owner-built
  • Also built the public-facing Malouf Personal Chef marketing site alongside the web app

Operations · Online Events

Online Event Operations

Planned and ran recurring structured events for 80+ participants — requiring scheduling, logistics coordination, asset management, and real-time problem-solving each cycle.

  • Built reusable systems and assets to maintain consistency across events
  • Coordinated participant logistics and troubleshot issues live, without disruption
  • Operated as a one-person ops function: planning, execution, and follow-up

What I'm Looking For

Currently employed across analytics and operations — and open to the right opportunity where data, process, and clear thinking are central to the work. Interested in business analysis, operations, supply chain, and reporting-focused roles across industries.

Based in Raleigh, NC and open to hybrid, remote, or relocation.
