Drew Steinke

Analyst · Problem-Solver · Systems-Oriented

NC State business grad seeking an analyst or operations role focused on data and process improvement.

About Me

Drew Steinke

Recent NC State grad — B.S. Business Administration, Supply Chain concentration, GPA 3.69. I've worked across SaaS product research, residential project coordination, and training analytics. I'm drawn to roles where there's a real problem to solve and data to work with.

Three industries in three years — SaaS, construction, and training. Different tools each time, same core discipline.
Supply chain academic foundation — sourcing, demand planning, spend analysis, and process design. A practical lens for analyst and operations roles.
I build things alongside analyzing them — a live web app, client websites, structured event systems. I deliver outputs, not just assessments.

How I Work

Data & Analysis

  • Excel (Advanced), Power BI, Tableau
  • Identify trends and track performance against goals
  • Summarize findings clearly for non-technical stakeholders
  • Build reports that support decision-making, not just describe it

Tools & Systems

  • JIRA, Smartsheet, VS Code
  • Organize workflows so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Coordinate across teams with clear task tracking and timelines

AI & Automation

  • ChatGPT, Claude
  • Use AI to speed up analysis, improve content clarity, and reduce repetitive work
  • Treat AI as a practical tool, not a replacement for judgment

Projects

🍽️
Web App · Personal Project

Recipe & Grocery Planning App

Built a web app that lets users select recipes and automatically generate a consolidated grocery list — reducing the friction of manual meal planning.

  • Designed the end-to-end user workflow: browse, select, generate list
  • Structured ingredient data to avoid duplicates and group by category
  • Deployed as a live, functioning application — not a prototype

Web Design · Client & Personal

Website Design & Development

Built sites for a small business and a genealogy research project — two different audiences, two different content problems, both requiring decisions about how information is organized and presented.

  • Translated stakeholder needs into clear site structure and navigation
  • Made deliberate readability and layout decisions suited to each audience
  • Delivered working, published sites — not mockups or templates
📡
Operations · Online Events

Online Event Operations

Planned and ran recurring structured events for 80+ participants — requiring scheduling, logistics coordination, asset management, and real-time problem-solving each cycle.

  • Built reusable systems and assets to maintain consistency across events
  • Coordinated participant logistics and troubleshot issues live, without disruption
  • Operated as a one-person ops function: planning, execution, and follow-up

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for a role where data, process, and clear thinking are central to the work. Open to business analysis, operations, supply chain, and reporting-focused positions across industries.

I'm based in Raleigh, NC and open to hybrid, remote or relocation.
